Launch Party this Saturday!!!

Mark your calendars! We'll all meet this coming Saturday, February 25 for a Potluck Petition Launch Gathering! We'll meet at The Peace Center in Seaside (1364 Fremont Blvd.)  from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.

We will have a potluck gathering to:

• get together and meet each other
• share petitioning experiences so far,
• pick up petitions & drop off completed ones
• pick up cardboard clipboards, volunteer sticker, table placard, and business cards to hand out.
• sign ups will be open. Questions answered about sign up genius.
• figure out ways to coordinate canopy/table hand offs. 

Please bring a dish to share, and your own place setting and utensils. Colleen will bring African peanut soup and bread so bring a cup or bowl & a spoon!

This is it! The final last few days before the petitions will be in hand and we begin the focus on signature gathering. If you haven't been trained yet, here are some golden opportunities!

Wednesday Feb 15th 6:00-8:00PM Signature gathering training and organizational meeting. Pacific Grove High School Library, 615 Sunset Drive Pacific Grove. The library is in the center of campus - on Sunset, line up with the  "68 Right Lane" and walk straight to library.


Thursday Feb 16th 5:45-6:45PM Signature gathering training. Rollicks Specialty Coffee  210 Main St. Salinas (map) 


We need you! You care about the future of our food system and the health of your family, community, and environment.  Free choice in what you eat is a basic human right that you need to stand up for to be heard!  The time to act is now!   

Colleen to speak at Sustainable PG...Febrary 8th

On Wednesday February 8th @ 7p-8:30p, Sustainable Pacific Grove will have their monthly meeting, called "Food for Thought And Vice Versa".  There will be a panel of sustainable food businesses:  Live Earth Farms, Happy Girl Kitchen, Tassajara Meats, Harrold Berta Cattle, and Local Catch Monterey. The meeting will be held at the PG Museum of Natural History- 165 Forest Ave. (map) Meet with other community members interested in making a difference.

February is the month for action!!

The time is upon us! We'll start getting signatures mid month...just a few more weeks to get trained. Here are events happening. Come join us!

Come and learn the Barker/Tabler technique of gathering signatures.  It is sure to make you a hit in the activist community!  An organizational meeting will follow for those who want to help with other campaign needs. Tuesday Feb 7th ... 6:00-8:00 PM  Screening of "Scientists Under Attack".  This is a documentary thriller about how Agro-Chemical multinational corporations victimize international scientists to prevent them from publishing their findings. After screening the film, Colleen Ingram will discuss the fight for consumer choice in California. Holland Center @ MIIS Campus 442 1/2 Van Buren St. Monterey.
