WE ARE RAMPING UP FOR PHASE 3!

Now that we have our Prop #37, we need to ensure that we will get an overwhelming YES on the November ballot.  We are going to do this by gaining personal and business endorsements to show solidarity and to spread the word so that the opposition's misinformation campaign fails.  We will do this by asking friends and businesses to join us as well as tabling events.  Endorsement packets will be handed out at meetings.

Hip-Hip Hooray!!

You may have seen the postings on Facebook or emails from Organic Consumers Association....WE WILL VOTE ON LABELING GMOs IN NOVEMBER!!! Thank you everyone for your hard work and commitment. For those of you who did not make the deadline, we will let you know if they will be accepting late petitions and where we will need to send them. We will let you know when we find out.

If you want to continue to help with the campaign...calling voters and various outreach events, PLEASE LET US KNOW..WE WANT YOU TO LET US KNOW IF WE SHOULD KEEP YOU ON THE VOLUNTEER LIST. If you only signed up for signatures but think that calls will be fun, let us know!!!!! Otherwise, we will only contact those that signed up to volunteer for areas other than petitioning.

 

Job well done to everyone who participated! A big GIGANTIC SUPER-SIZED THANK YOU goes to Colleen Ingram for being the glue that kept everyone together here in Monterey County. We could not have done it without her steadfast and unfailing efforts.

Coming down the home stretch!

We're getting close to the end of the window of opportunity for petitioning. Let's get out there are make the most of the last few weeks...April 20th is the last day for gathering signatures. There's been a new drop off location added to the list (Cornucopia). Please check out the tab "Drop off/Pick up Sites" for the places to take your filled petitions. Thanks for making a difference!

New information is being added on each tab so keep checking back to make sure you have the latest scoop. Better yet, subscribe to "follow by email" so you'll get an email when there's an update!

Updated dates have been added to the top of each page to help you keep current! The deadline for petitioning is looming close so lets give it all we've got in the month! Thanks for all you do to make this important change.

Check out SignUp Genius and sign up for shifts to gather signatures: there are a lot of available shifts in many different locations. Thanks for all you're doing to get this initiative on the ballot!

Launch Party this Saturday!!!

Mark your calendars! We'll all meet this coming Saturday, February 25 for a Potluck Petition Launch Gathering! We'll meet at The Peace Center in Seaside (1364 Fremont Blvd.)  from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.

We will have a potluck gathering to:

• get together and meet each other
• share petitioning experiences so far,
• pick up petitions & drop off completed ones
• pick up cardboard clipboards, volunteer sticker, table placard, and business cards to hand out.
• sign ups will be open. Questions answered about sign up genius.
• figure out ways to coordinate canopy/table hand offs. 

Please bring a dish to share, and your own place setting and utensils. Colleen will bring African peanut soup and bread so bring a cup or bowl & a spoon!
